MARQUETTE -- Marquette bicycling enthusiasts know of the area's great trails, and now a new website can connect the bicycling community as well as bring others to the trails.
The website, LetsBikeMQT.com, was launched recently by the Marquette County Convention and Visitors Bureau when they noticed various awards the community received.
The website provides information on trails, shops, blogs and even where to rent bicycles.
They hope to get linked to the Pure Michigan website, and need help from the community to make the website the best it can be.
"This is really a community website and we want people to share their photos and to share their video," said Jeni Jewell, LetsBikeMQT.com Writer. "We can't do it on our own and so it will be as great as the people giving us stuff to show how biking in Marquette really is awesome."
Marquette was recently named a "Bicycle Friendly Community" and, in 2009, Bike Magazine named it the number one place in the U.S. to bike and live.
