POLL - Schools banning hurtful words

For six years, the Peer Coach Program at Negaunee High School has been changing the way students interact with those who are disabled.  This year, 50 peer coaches, who are also students at the high school, want to take their efforts one step further.

Peer coaches are encouraging others to sign the petition banning the "R-word," or "retarded," during their lunch hour.

Tonight in the Daily Pulse, we're wondering your thoughts:  Should other schools follow Negaunee's lead and attempt to cut down on the use of hurtful words?  Yes or no?

Vote in the poll below, then be sure to watch your FOX UP News Thursday night at 10/9c for the final results.
