The call came in around 3:45 Saturday morning.

HOUGHTON -- An overnight fire in Houghton completely destroyed the Surplus Outlet store and six apartments on the second floor.

According to Houghton City Police, the call came in around 3:45 Saturday morning, and several surrounding fire departments responded.

Police confirm no tenants were injured.

The Houghton Fire Chief was at the scene Saturday with the State Police Fire Marshal, and so far, the cause of the fire has not yet been released or determined.
