HOUGHTON -- People in the Keweenaw are asking the community to help support the family of William Karinen, the victim of that fatal car crash on M-26 Wednesday morning.

According to friends, Karinen, who lived in Painesdale, was the father of six children.

A fund has been set up for the Karinen family at the Michigan Tech Employee's Federal Credit Union in Houghton.

If you want to help out, you can drop off donations at any of their three locations or send a check to the Karinen family fund at 700 Sharon Avenue in Houghton or call the bank at (906) 482-5005.

This is certainly a family who needs our help during this holiday season.
