Police say 75-year-old Frank Zanon lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree on County Road 424 in Mastodon Township.

MASTODON TWP -- A Caspian man remains hospitalized after a car accident in Iron County Friday afternoon.

Police say 75-year-old Frank Zanon lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree on County Road 424 in Mastodon Township.

He was taken to NorthStar Hospital in Iron River and eventually transported to MGH.

He was last listed in fair condition.

Police say roads were icy at the time of the crash.

Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
