MARENISCO TOWNSHIP -- Police break up an underage drinking party in Gogebic County.

State police troopers say they were dispatched to a cabin in Marenisco Township Friday night.

Inside the cabin, troopers say there were 43 people.  Twenty-seven of them were cited for being minors consuming alcohol.

Police say the person in charge of the party was cited for providing a place for minors to consume alcohol.  That's a misdemeanor, which carries a penalty of up to 30 days in jail and a $1000 fine.
