It happened Friday afternoon.

MASTODON TOWNSHIP -- A Caspian man was reported in fair condition at Marquette General Hospital Saturday night after a car accident in Iron County Friday afternoon.

 

Police say 75-year-old Frank Zanon of Caspian lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree on County Road 424 in Mastodon Township.

 

He was taken to Northstar Hospital in Iron River, and later transported to MGH.

 

Police say roads were icy at the time of the crash.  Zanon was wearing his seat belt.  Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
