Negaunee City Police searching for answers

NEGAUNEE -- The Negaunee City Police Department is looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run accident that happened early Sunday morning.

Police say a car parked on East Main Street was struck and heavily damaged by an older, dark-colored SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee Sport.

Officers believe the vehicle that left the scene sustained front-end damage and that the driver and any passengers could of have been injured in the accident.

The vehicle was last seen driving east out of Negaunee.
