BARAGA COUNTY -- More information is being released about the search for a missing hunter in Baraga County.

The State Police said that initially, one hunter was lost in the woods in the Herman area, Thursday afternoon.  Later, the hunter's son went out to look for his father, found the man, and stayed with him.

Meanwhile, search and rescue personnel were called out around 10 p.m. Thursday night.

Two rescuers found the men and stayed with them while passing along directions to the Coast Guard helicopter to lift the missing men out.

The father and son were airlifted to Sawyer and transfered to Marquette General.  There's been no word of their condition.

The two rescuers decided to wait until daylight and tried to walk out at that time, but snow and rough terrain made it near impossible and the rescuers were airlifted from their location to L'Anse.

The police say the rescue personel were treated for any medical issues they had due to being out in the cold for so long.
