NEGAUNEE -- A Negaunee family has reason to give thanks because of the generosity of a local grocery store.

Their eventful day began Thursday afternoon when the Seppala family was deep frying a turkey.  The oil overheated and caught fire.

The Negaunee Fire Department was called to the backyard of the home on East Lincoln Street.  There was no damage to the home, but their Thanksgiving dinner went up in flames.

Jill Seppala and her son Brad went to Super One Foods in Negaunee to pick up some rotisserie chickens to make up for the turkey they lost.  But the chickens had already been out too long and the grocery store could no longer sell them.

When the Seppala's explained what happened, Super One put together a Thanksgiving feast for the family including turkey and mashed potatoes...all for free.  It was enough to feed ten people.

THIS WAS A VERY NICE THING OF SUPER ONE TO DO FOR JIL AND BRAD AS THESE PEOPLE DO A LOT FOR THE CHILDREN AND KIDS IN THIS COMMUNITE AND OTHER ONES TO. AND IT IS ALSO A GOOD THIGN THAT THEY ARE ONLY A BLOCK AND A HALF A WAY FROM THE FIRE DEPT . AND ALSO ONE OF THERE UP THE ST. NABORES IS THE CITY'S FIRE CHIEF AND KNOWING HIM AND MOST OF THE GUY'S ON ARE VERY GOOD DEPT. AND CARING THESE GUYS ARE SOME OF THERE NABORS AND ALSO SOME OF THIS PEOPLE KNOW OF JILL FOR HER WORK WITH A LOT OF CHURCH GROUPS FOR KIDS AND I AM GLAD THAT THERE THANKSGIVING WAS NOT SPOILED FOR THEM. AM I AGREE WITH THE PERSON THAT MADE THE STATEMENT ABOUT THE MANAGERS AT SUPER ONE FOODS IN NEGAUNEE BEING AND UPSIDER AND IF THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN TARGET OR WALMART YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN NOTHING AND THEY WOULD NOT HAVE GONE THE EXSTRA MILE OR THE WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN IN TO ANOTHER STATMENT THAT WAS MADE ABOUT GIVING FORWARD AS THIS IS ALSO A FITTING ACT FOR THAT TO .
HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD REST OF THE THANKSGIVING DAY AND A GOOD MEAL THAT HAD SAVED YOURS THAT WAS ALMOST A BAD ONE FOR ALL THE FAMILY AND THE KIDS .

Ok....Walmart obviously has more selection

but for true compassion and the freshness in

various department this is why we shop at Super One.

The manager of this store should be proud for this

act of kindness and the fine employee's working there.
