Just after sunset Tuesday night, a flare was reported over the water.

DOLLAR BAY -- The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating a flare sighting over Keweenaw Bay.

Just after sunset Tuesday night, a flare was reported over the water.

A Coast Guard helicopter was searching Keweenaw Bay Wednesday afternoon.

The Coast Guard would like to bring this case to a close.
