DETROIT (AP) -- Vice President Joe Biden was in Michigan to raise money for two freshmen Democratic congressmen and talk jobs and the economy with Gov. Jennifer Granholm.

Biden appeared at a morning fundraiser at the MGM Grand Detroit hotel. The event was co-hosted by Reps. Gary Peters of Oakland County and Mark Schauer of Battle Creek. They are expected to face tough re-election campaigns in 2010.

In the afternoon, Biden sat down for a photo op over hot dogs with the Democratic governor at a local eatery.

The GOP criticized the fundraiser, airing a 60-second radio ad in the state that accuses Biden of "getting together with his fat cat friends to do political fundraising" instead of dealing with Michigan's highest-in-the-nation unemployment rate.

It wouldn't look too good for the current administration to lose another Democratic governorship in 2010.
I guess the Democratic Liberals shouldn't have spent so much money and should have listened to the Tea Partiers.
