NEGAUNEE -- If you've always loved bowling, but have found that it's getting harder to pick up that ball, the Negaunee Senior Center may have the answer for you.
The center now offers free Wii Bowling every Thursday morning at 10:30.
The Wii video game system allows players to use a wireless controller that can detect movement.
Seniors Thursday morning were playing as if they were actually bowling.
"At first they were really intimidated by it, its technology, and I was, too, when I started," said center director Kristy Basolo. "But once we demonstrated how to do it a couple times with different groups of people, people got a little more excited to come in and try it out, and now we have a pretty good group that comes every Thursday."
The idea came from a senior center downstate.
The television was donated, and the center was able to get the Wii system for free.
