CHIPPEWA COUNTY -- Two military persons from Fort Leonard, Missouri are recovering after a car crash in Chippewa County.
According to the Michigan State Police, the single car crash happened on I-75 near M-80 in Kinross Township.
Staff Sergeants Sarren Washington and Randall Barkley were in the area to attend the funeral service of Specialist Brandon Steffey on Wednesday.
Both men were taken to War Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
