UPPER PENINSULA -- Just as most of the schools that were closed due to the flu last week open their doors, others cancel class this week.
Be sure to check out our School Closings page for the most up to date closing information.Watersmeet Schools are closing Monday with more than 25 percent of their students out due to illness. They will remain closed for the rest of the week. Classes will resume on Monday, November 9.
Also closing at noon central time, is West Iron County Schools. They will remain closed through the week as well.
As of 1:15 pm Monday, the L'Anse School District, along with the Sacred Heart School, will be closed until Monday, November 9.
And the latest school to close for the week is Bessemer.
Also on the list is Baraga and Republic United Methodist Monday Church School. Both are closed Monday, November 2.
Baraga will now re-open on Thursday, November 5.
