Zonta honors Clickner with award

MARQUETTE -- She's well known for her efforts in helping to create economic growth in Marquette County.

But Wednesday, Amy Clickner was also recognized for being an outstanding role model and mentor to both women and young girls.
    
At a special luncheon, the Zonta Club of Marquette presented Clickner with the Evergreen Award.
    
She is the CEO of the Lake Superior Community Partnership.  However, she has also been involved in more than a dozen area organizations.

"I am so honored and humbled because everything you do, you do with partners, your staff, your friends, and it just feels like an honor shared by so many people that have helped me to do some of the things I've been able to do," said Clickner.

Clickner was brought to tears Wednesday afternoon after learning that she was this year's Evergreen Award Recipient.
