Quit and get another job eh?

Posted by A G, Marquette - Monday, October 26, 2009 at 10:13 p.m.

Point being, the vast majority of people have no idea how many hoops are jumped through for the most simple of jobs. And why? So your lights don't flicker for a second. My point is that why don't you appreciate the fact that it wasn't done when it was thirty below or during the middle the day when your favorite shows are one or while you're trying to cook breakfast. I love my job, rain or cold.....I just hate when people don't see it from the other point of view. And don't say that my view is one sided, because I have a TV and lights in my house too.

A G, I didnt see it as complaining.

What the person said was meant along the lines of why it couldnt have been done during warmer weather. It would have been a benifit to the worker as well as the customer. Get me some triple time and i'll be out there holding two flashlights. There is a solution to your job problem, you can quit. I am sure a hundred people would line up for a job that pays twice as much as the average yooper makes. Instead of complaining about customers, be fortunate that you have a good job like you have.

I thought that was your job

So A G, Marquette you think one of us should hold the flashlight for you? Sorry but isn't that the job you chose?? You don't like it? Quit.
The person had a excellent point why not schedule this for summer weather?

catch up to europe

Posted by Prodigal Son, The Forest - Monday, October 26, 2009 at 10:05 a.m.

Tell me, how many countries in Europe have about the same size of land compared to the USA? How about Japan vs. USA land? Thought so, get smarter.

Crumbling American Infrastructure

Can not wait till when we catch up with the other western nations. Japan only has an average power outage of seven minutes even with typhoons nearly every year! Almost every country in Europe has a less duration of power outage time per year than the US.

Hmm.....always somebody to complain

Well I was one of those guys that had to work through the night and be stuck on a pole for three and a half hours with NO heat so as not to inconvenience customers during the day. But hey, I'm glad to hear that you appreciate me having to sacrifice the comfort and warmth of my bed and not to mention a full nights sleep. Maybe next time you can hold the flashlight for me and it will get done a little quicker. Your welcome.

Just courious

Could'nt this have been done at an earlier date so people would'nt go without heat for 3 hours or more?
