Home on M-28 needed five departments

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP -- No one was injured in an early morning house fire in Chocolay Township Tuesday.
The fire broke out around 3 a.m. Tuesday morning at a home on east M-28. Two people inside the home managed to escape.
The Chocolay Township Fire Department was assisted by Marquette, Sands, Skandia and Onota Township Fire Departments along with Unit 131.
No word on the amount of damage to the structure. The investigation will begin Tuesday morning.
