RAPID RIVER -- An Escanaba man was arraigned in Delta County District Court Friday on two drug counts.

Twenty-five-year-old Isaac Cooley was pulled over by Delta County Sheriff's Deputies while driving on US-2 and US- 41 near Rapid River.

A canine officer became alerted on the read of his vehicle, and a search uncovered drugs in the trunk.

Cooley was arrested, and faces two counts, one of delivery and manufacturing of cocaine, less than 50 grams.

The other is for delivery and manufacturing marijuana.

He has a $15,000 cash bond.

Cooley's preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 15.

You heard correctly, they did say the suspect was from Manistique not Escanaba.

You were not mistaken. We were reporting that the individual was from Manistique on the Morning News and on our website. This was the information we received at first. The above story is now correct. Sorry for any confusion.

I could have swore the early morning news on "6" said the person was from Manistique. Guess I did'nt have enough caffine yet. lol
