SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY -- Two Schoolcraft County residents are jailed after detectives with the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team caught them drying marijuana.

They were found in a wooded, swampy area in Manistique Township.

The pair had two tents filled with 384 marijuana stocks with a street value between $150,000 and $200,000.

They were taken into custody when they arrived in the area to work the harvest.

In addition, a second large marijuana growing operation was found in another area of Schoolcraft County.  Arrest warrants are pending for that operation.

Believe me I am not against anyone doing what they have to do. But I hope they finaily start making these peopple pay and do their time, they waste alot of maoney getting rid of the drugs and going through the criminal justice system. They need to serve their time, and all of, why get out with good time point. So they can get out and get the rest of there harvest. Way to go..... You wanna play and not work for your wage, then when you get caught then do your time.
