MENOMINEE COUNTY -- Three Wisconsin men are jailed in Menominee County after a traffic stop this weekend.

According to the Michigan State Police, a call came in Sunday afternoon of a reckless driver on US-41 in Menominee Township.

The vehicle was located, and after making the traffic stop, troopers found the driver did not have a license.

That man, 30-year-old Anthony Lonzo of Pound, Wisconsin, was arrested.

The two passengers, 28-year-old Paul Blanco, of Oconto, Wisconsin, and 17-year-old Nicholas Langer of Marinette, both had warrants out for their arrest and were taken into custody.

A search of the vehicle uncovered marijuana packaged for sale.

All three are in the Menominee County Jail on a variety of charges.

Over 800,000 arrested last year for possession alone and more than half went to jail . Hundreds of millions if not billions spent on the "war on drugs" .
Pot has been illegal for more than 80 years it's time to legalize .
I'd use it if I could get it two of my doctors think it would be better than all the drugs I have to take now .

Legalize Pot

Regulate the distribution and use while driving, on the job, etc (just like alcohol). We can tax the hell out of it, stop sending money to other countries, cut out a major funnell of money to drug lords/crime syndicates, reduce the wasted dollars on policing something petty, free up boarders, etc.

I am not a user but the benefits are cut and dry to me.

Hey fella's....if your driving around with pre packaged dope....heres some advise....lay low till you make your drop.

one would think that if you have enough intellect to remember to breath, that would be a given.

Second, if we'd legalize this crap, there wouldnt be reason for such boneheads to be endangering the public....They might actually have to get jobs in order to make money.

California estimates 1.4 billion dollars in annual tax revenue from pot sales, and were pissing away tax money flying helicopters around and back logging the courts with 17 misdemeanor cases, where few if any will actually serve time (unless there are priors). I guess the courts are bored these days.

Regardless of how one feels about its use, the time to utilize this as a source of revenue is long overdue. And dont hand me any garbage, drummed up phantom fears about "what if's"...this stuff is rampant and not going away. May as well make use of it.
