According to the Florence County Sheriff's Department, 28-year-old Michael Rhode was working on a power line along an ATV trail shortly before noon on Saturday.

FLORENCE -- A Wisconsin man has died after a weekend accident in in Florence.

According to the Florence County Sheriff's Department, 28-year-old Michael Rhode was working on a power line along an ATV trail shortly before noon on Saturday.

He was an employee of MJ Electric in Iron Mountain.

After power was knocked out to the area, a resident found Rhode still in his harness, hanging about 40 feet in the air on a transmission tower.

He was taken to Dickinson County Memorial and later transferred to the Milwaukee Burn Center.

He passed away at 4:45 Tuesday morning.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
