HOUGHTON -- A Bolivian dance group will kick-off the 20th annual Parade of Nations and Multicultural Festival in Houghton County Friday night.

"Dancing with Diversity" is the theme for this year's event.

Dozens of students from Finlandia University and Michigan Tech will represent more than 70 countries as they march in Saturday morning's parade.

Early Friday, organizers were at Dee Stadium setting up tables for the Multicultural Festival that follows the parade.

“People are going to have a really great choice of foods, from Asia to the Caribbean to Mexico--it's just going to be fantastic,” said event organizer Madeline Mercado Voelker.

The parade starts at 11 a.m. near Hancock Middle School and the festival at the Dee lasts until 4 p.m.
