The Copper Country Curling Club is looking to expand.

CALUMET -- Although they started 14 years ago, Copper Country Curling Club members say there are still a large number of people in the area that don't know they exist.

They hope to change that this week and possibly recruit new people to the sport at two open houses.

They'll give brief instructions and let people throw stones and sweep in front of the stones.

It takes place at the drill house behind CLK schools, in Calumet, Thursday night from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.
