Marquette youth held final performance of holiday classic on Sunday

MARQUETTE -- A holiday classic came alive Nov. 9 in Marquette.

The musical "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" made its final run on Sunday.  The production is a first for the City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center Youth Theatre.

The cast and crew have been working on the show since auditions were held in August.  It features 19 local youths, ages 8 to 14.

"This is typically a show that's done with adults acting as childen, but to have it be children acting as children gives it a little different twist to the Charlie Brown tale," said Carrie Seavoy, director of choreography and vocals.

The proceeds from the event will go to support future productions by the youth theatre program.
