KINGSFORD -- The Kingsford City Council is reevaluating one of its ordinances banning pit bulls.
Mondays city council meeting was flooded with residents and a petition with more than 150 signatures. The ordinance was originally passed in 1987 along with two other ordinances against dangerous and vicious dogs. Residents believe that pit bulls are being unfairly targeted and that they pose no threat to the community.
The city council is reviewing the ordinance and will try to find a solution within the next few weeks.
