MARQUETTE -- Lakeshore Boulevard in Marquette opened Monday afternoon to through traffic from Wright Street to Hawley.
The street near Presque Isle has been closed for about two weeks.
The Public Works Department was working on the stretch of the road that has seriously deteriorated this winter.
A speed limit of 15 miles per hour has been posted for this section of roadway, and motorists are asked to drive through this section carefully due to the loose gravel.
