HARVEY -- A fund-raiser for Teaching Family Homes got participants up bright and early Saturday morning.

The Jackrabbit Snowshoe Challenge provided a fun activity for all ages.  The event featured a 1k, 5k, 10k and a Bunny Run.

Organizers expected close to 100 people to come out and snowshoe, however, the rainy conditions cut the crowd down to about half that size.  But the drizzle didn't dampen spirits.  All events took place as scheduled.

Event coordinator Mike Smith said, "It's just a nice event to have people come out and support a local cause."
