Lyons faces a 15-year mandatory prison sentence if he's convicted of the crime

NEGAUNEE -- The Negaunee Police Department obtained an additional charge against James Parmater Lyons of Negaunee, Tuesday.

The 44 year old will be charged with one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes.  This charge is related to a separate investigation for which Lyons was charged with criminal sexual assault with a victim under 13 years old.

Lyons faces a 15-year mandatory prison sentence if he's convicted of the crime.  The additional charge is a felony punishable by up to four years in prison.

The name of the victim is not being released.
