GLADSTONE -- Gladstone's Community Development has gotten a financial boost from the Michigan State Housing Authority.
The agency has received an over $240,000 grant to help rehabilitate habitat homes throughout the community.
The funding will help pay for projects from new siding, windows, to new doors inside the homes.
Officials say about eight homes will be funded through this grant, and they're currently looking for more money to help fix others that are in need of repair.
"We're working with the Federal Home Loan Bank to get more funding," says Howard Haulotte, Community Development Director. "They have some funding available, they have some more funding for rehab."
Officials hope to know soon if they'll get the extra funding.
