STRONGS -- A fire destroys a single story home in Strongs in Chippewa County. It's the home of Pat and Steve Evans and sits next to the Strongs General Store, which they own.
The fire happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
The Hulbert Fire Department, along with two other departments, responded. When they arrived, the house was totally engulfed in flames.
No word on the cause, but officials say it's not suspicious.
One of the homeowners leaving the residence heard a crackling sound and then saw smoking rolling out from the eves.
No one was injured, and all the pets were able to get out as well.
