LANSING (AP) -- Michigan health officials urge people with asthma to get the seasonal and swine flu shots as soon as possible.

Chief medical executive Greg Holzman of Michigan's Community Health Department said Monday a third of those hospitalized nationally this year with H1N1 symptoms have had asthma.

He said four Michigan residents who had underlying asthma are among the 34 H1N1 patients who've died in the state since April.

Holzman added that those with asthma should see a doctor promptly if they get flu-like symptoms so they can receive Tamiflu.

State health officials say since Sept. 1, 28 Michigan residents have died and 801 have been hospitalized.  About 46,272 have shown signs of a flu-type illness this week.

The government and pharmaceuticals (best friends) are making millions off this vaccination! How long until it's mandated.. that is what concerns me. Also, the research reveals that the government has pardoned all pharmaceutical manufacturers of the H1N1 from any deaths, injury etc.. that may result due to vaccination. Unbelieveable.

Just remembered hearing something on the news...Is'nt wall street (big shots) in control of these vaccines? If so, that explains everything. I have to stay on top of any little cold comming on because it goes to pneumonia like RIGHT NOW! don't relish going to the doc for antibiotics when everyone's sick. Under the circumstances (condition/risk factor) they should call in your script to keep us away from more BUGS! My doc see's me enough to know what i need. I know the warnings.

Easier said than done

I have had severe asthma and allergies all of my life. I am disabled. I am on allergy injections. I have been denied on a regular basis for the vacinne. My allergy nurse tells me to stay away from the clinc and stop my allergy shots, as I am at risk of getting the flu. I am still being denied for the vacinne. What is wrong with this picture! My local paper says that people who are at high risk can get the vacinne. Not True!!!! I blame the CDC for this whole thing!!!

How can the health department urge people with asthma to get vaccinated when they turn you away when you show-up to get the shot? Does that make anysense?

Hmmm
