MARQUETTE -- Teachers at North Star Academy were busy getting their classrooms ready for the upcoming school year.
Furniture and books were moved into the classrooms which are located outside the building. They're called satellite classrooms, and they will house almost 200 kids for nine months while the addition to the building is being completed.
Officials plan on finishing the move and the landscaping by Thursday night's open house.
"We really appreciate the community support, the public support, and the media. Everything is going really well, as I said before, way more positives than roadblocks," said North Star CEO Karen Anderson.
School starts September 8 and enrollment at North Star has exceeded administration's original expectations.
