MARQUETTE -- School will be a little different this year for students and teachers at North Star Academy in Marquette.

The school is under construction.  They're expanding their building to include enough space to house kindergarten through fifth grade, which won't be completed until next fall.

To accommodate the 193 students enrolled at North Star, two portable classrooms were installed on-site.

"We had actually hoped to have the addition ready for this fall; ran into a few road blocks along the way, but with the families' encouragement and good staff, we've been able to proceed," said Karen Anderson, North Star CEO.

A week from Tuesday, teachers will be moving into their new classrooms, followed by students on September 8.
