IRONWOOD -- The Jacquart Fabric Company in Ironwood is best known for manufacturing products like boat covers and dog beds.

But their latest challenge is a little different.  They'll be padding the walls at the Berry Events Center at NMU.

This fall, Northern will play host to the Olympic Speed-Skating Trials, and Jacquart is responsible for keeping something soft between a fall and the wall.

"My goal is to not only do it as inexpensively for Northern as possible, but to actually do a really nice job and have them be world class pads," says Bob Jacquart.

With the help of some business partners and friends, Jacquart is pretty certain that the speed-skating pads will be a donation to NMU.
