CHAMPION TOWNSHIP -- A Negaunee man continues to recover after an ATV crash Thursday afternoon.
The Marquette County Sheriff's Department says it happened in a wooded area near Silver Lake Basin in Champion Township.
Sixty-six-year-old Alvar Kurin was riding his ATV in an off trail area. While trying to go up a steep incline, the machine flipped on top of him. A friend riding with Kurin got the ATV off him, and then went to get help.
Kurin was taken to Bell Hospital for treatment.
Speed and alcohol have been ruled out as contributing factors to the incident.
