IRONWOOD -- Eight people were sent to the hospital after a crash in Ironwood Tuesday.

According to the Gogebic County Sheriff's Department, it happened about 1:30 in the afternoon at the intersection on US-2 and Country Club Road.

A mini-van pulling onto US-2 crossed into the path of an oncoming sedan.

The jaws of life were used to rescue one person trapped in the mini-van.

Everyone was taken to Grandview Hospital for treatment.

Names and conditions have not been released, but the sheriff's department said none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.

The crash remains under investigation.
