How I Voted

I personally was not impressed with the "scenic" photos. That's not what vacations are about for me. They are about family, kids, & fun. Isn't it great that we are so diverse. This was not a photo contest... as in beautiful photo. It was a vacation contest... about one's vacation. To criticize the winners is ridiculous. We all view things differently for different reasons.

family

so because your family was in a picture it had to win or what?

I don't mean to be negative but whats so special about a couple of the winning photos? People take pics like that all the time? The sunset and lakeshore are amazing, and the dog in the canoe really captures the essence of the U.P. The one with the boat is a typical weekend picture most of us take, and the other ones aren't that amazing. strange how people vote.

I'm with Jen Thayer! They were all wonderful! However, my Aunt & Uncle were in the boat, in the winning picture... Family matters! Cindy deserves this vacation...
Good for her...Kudos..Regina Bates, Gladstone, MI

I would like to offer an apology to all the contestants on behalf of M C. There was no need for his/her ignorant comments. The photos were great and most of the viewers appreciate your participation. Please don't let the negative rantings of this uncultured person discourage you.

Congratualations to all the winners. I think the photos were wonderful. It was hard to vote for which one hit me more emotionaly. If you want better photos, they can be purchased from professionals. The entries for this contest were captured in the moment. I had a hard time voting for one, cause they all represented a good family time in the UP.

this is a joke
