In April 2006, Mrs. Samme (Bobbie) lost her son, L/Cpl Eric Palmisano, in Iraq.

About a month after his death, she had a package returned to her that she had sent to him, containing non-perishable items.

She and her husband, Herb, decided right then to start a care package project for the troops in Iraq.

Since that date, they have sent over 575 ackages that cost $11.75 each.  They do this all through volunteers and their own expense.

I Love This Woman

Posted by Kitty Gould, Mississippi - Tuesday, May 05, 2009 at 9:43 p.m.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Bobbie for a few years now. I was there when her son Eric died. She is a very sweet and thoughful woman who no person I have met in my life can hold a candle to.
Currently both of my children are deployed and she has bent over backwards to send them care packages.
Thank you for giving her and her Husband Herb this credit, for it is well earned.
Thank you,
Kitty Gould
