WHITE PINE -- The Western Upper Peninsula Citizen Advisory Council, CAC, for the Department of Natural Resources will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. EDT, Monday, May 18, at Konteka Motel, located at 400 Main Street (M-64), Mineral Circle Plaza in White Pine.

Topics for discussion include:

* Off-Road Vehicle Trail Issues
* Bear Management Plan Information

The CACs were formed to give U.P. citizens more input into DNR regional programs and activities.  The councils, in both the western U.P. and eastern U.P., have a wide array of outdoor recreation interests represented and help the DNR identify ways to be more effective across the region.

CAC meetings are open to the public.  For more information, contact Stacy Welling, DNR U.P. field deputy, at (906) 228-6561.
