LAKE LINDEN -- Firefighters from the Copper Country were raising money Sunday for their fire prevention program.

Bootjack, Lake Linden and Hubbell fire departments were flipping pancakes and French toast in Lake Linden.

It was a fund-raiser for their program that teaches kids what to do if there's a fire.

For supporting their program, people got to eat pancakes, French toast, sausage.  There was also a bake sale and raffle.

"Well, we feel that by going into the school we're actually making our jobs easier because maybe we won't come upon a tragedy, which initially started this program 20 years ago," said Ron Parker of Lake Linden Fire Department

This was the first year for the fund-raiser, and they hope to make it an annual event.
