MARQUETTE -- Inspiring guitar solos and an infectious beat are the cornerstones to Fast Eddie’s Blues Band's original sound.

"We never play the same song twice in the same way,” said the lead singer, “Fast Eddie” Consolmagno.  “We usually improvise, but people think we're tight because we've been playing for so many years."

It's actually been over a decade that this band has been a prominent fixture on the Marquette music scen, blending the soul of the blues with, like their name suggests, the faster tempo of rock.

"We just like to rock it up and jam!" laughed bass player Kurt Tuimala.

Also a harmonica player, Fast Eddie says his band is eager to bring their jam sessions heard in the bars to listeners at home.

"We've got a few songs, and we're trying to get our CD together,” Consolmagno said, “but that's a continuous project!”

But more than that, they hope audiences can appreciate their unique brand of music.

You can catch one of Fast Eddie's Blues Band’s shows this Monday, December 1, at Lagniappe in downtown Marquette and every other Monday thereafter.
