Man killed by falling tree

Engadine man had just felled a neighboring tree.

ENGADINE -- An Engadine man was killed this weekend after a tree fell on him.

The Mackinac County Sheriff's office reports that 76-year-old Earl Legault was cutting down a tree in a remote area of his property on Sunday afternoon..

The tree struck a second tree, and the top of the second tree broke off, it fell to the ground, and it struck Legault.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
