HOUGHTON -- Friday night is Ladies Night in the Copper Country. Various stores and restaurants in downtown Houghton will offer discounted prices and perks for anyone interested in shopping downtown.
Whether you're looking for the perfect Christmas gift or you're just interested in spending time with your friends, participating Houghton businesses guarantee a good time. Ladies Night will be Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
"The whole point is to give a little back, but we tie it in during the hunting season because we feel it's nice," said Wicker & Willow owner Amy Negro. "Since the men are being treated and they get to go out and go after their big deer, the women should be able to have a little fun, too, so it's a way to treat them as well."
Wicker and Willow, a store in downtown Houghton, started the event several years ago, and this time around they'll be offering refreshments and a grand prize drawing.
