MARQUETTE -- More than a hundred kids and their parents came to the Marquette YMCA Saturday for a Halloween Party. All of the kids came in costume for some free candy and arts and crafts.

Volunteers from the NMU men's basketball team helped run the games.

The 501st Legion Star Wars organization made an appearance with Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper.

The party was free for all members and non-members.

"It's so nice to see all the families here and the kids, they're all ages, they're excited, they're in their costumes," said Laura Murawski, YMCA program director. "It's kind of their chance to show off their costumes before Halloween. It's just nice to see everyone together and the kids having a fun time."

The Halloween Party has been an annual tradition at the Marquette YMCA since it was founded.
