MARQUETTE -- The 2013 Economic Outlook kicks off the Lake Superior Community Partnership quarterly luncheon series.

The first luncheon is this Friday at the Holiday Inn in Marquette. Guests will get an indepth look at the 2013 economic survey with a speaker from the Baker Strategy Group.

The LSCP figures the survey will reflect growth in the local economy.

"Michigan continues to be a great place to grow a business, especially coming out of the recession we just hit," said Derek Bush of the LSCP. "As many of you know, Michigan was the hardest hit out of any state in the nation, and so we'll see numbers starting to bounce back from the levels they were previously, and businesses are getting more optimistic about investing in Michigan, continuing to invest in Michigan, which is great for everybody."

The economic luncheon starts at noon and tickets are $25. Future luncheons are planned quarterly throughout the year.
