MARQUETTE -- After four-and-a-half months of construction, the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home in Marquette has finished their expansion.

Plans to expand were in the works for several years.  The 120-year-old business was expanded because of the need for more space.  Construction started last August, and they added 1,800 square feet to the building.

Now there's ample seating and three restrooms.

"As you walk in you'll find it's a seamless transition from the old building to the new. We maintained the same architecture and the same motif so you really can't tell where the old building ended and the new one starts," said funeral home owner, Mark Canale.

Canale now offers light receptions and is looking to host other events.  They'll host an open house this Saturday and Sunday.
