MARQUETTE -- Hundreds of people came to the Peter White Public Library in Marquette Saturday to buy some U.P. art.

The city of Marquette's Arts and Culture Center held its 12th annual holiday art fair Saturday.

Nearly 30 artists from across the U.P. showcased their works from all art mediums. The fair features many returning artists, but also new ones, like Jason Limberg, a Wisconsin native who recently moved to Skandia for the lucrative art scene in the area.

Limberg's art focuses on drawing animals and scenes from nature. Fairs like this one give Limberg the opportunity to interact with and explain his art to potential buyers.

"I love the view that art is accessible to everybody, so I try to make it to events like this where I can really interact with people, and they can meet the artist," said Jason Limberg.

Many of the artworks made great Christmas gifts for buyers.
