MARQUETTE -- Blueberry Fest wrapped up on Friday in Marquette, but some still continued the festivities on Saturday.

It was the third annual blueberry pie contest at the Farmer's Market. A total of 15 contestants competed with pies and other blueberry desserts, like muffins and cheesecake. Three vendors from the Farmer's Market acted as judges.

The best pies were awarded gift baskets donated from many vendors.

"The contestants have brought really tasty looking stuff, and it's a beautiful day. You can't ask for anything other than sunshine and not too much wind on a market day," said Sarah Monte, the market's administrator.

After the judging, the pies were open for tasting from the general public.
