MARQUETTE -- The Marquette Community Foundation is getting the word out that they have money available for programs that use volunteers. The community foundation is preparing to give out $7,000 to programs like the Girl Scouts, Room At The Inn, and other organizations that rely on volunteers. The money can be used for training programs and recruitments. The deadline for the grant application is June 16.

"It's great to be able to support programs that have volunteers out in the community serving, citizens serving citizens, making sure that everyone is taken care of, and to be a part of that has been just magical," said Carole Touchinski of the Marquette Community Foundation.

Since its inception, the fund has given out more than $40,000. For more information on the Marquette Community Foundation, click here.
